I paid my deposit, what’s next?

You are registered! Now you will receive a welcome email from us that confirms your local title and will include a link to all the pageant documents which include the contestant handbook, marketing & advertising packet, platform and ad page samples. This will lead you into the next steps.

If I win, do I go to a national competition?

Yes! Our state queens for the Mrs, Miss, Teen and Preteen will continue on to compete for the International crown in July of competition year.

How do I know what division I qualify for? 

To pick your division by age, you need to go by the age you will be on July 1 of the competition year. For example, if you are 18 during the state pageant date in March but will turn 19 prior to July 1 of that year that would move you to the Miss Division. To be qualified for the Mrs. Division you must be married at least 6 months prior to July 1 of competition year.


What paperwork am I responsible for? 

All contestants will be required to turn in their application form, Platform page, liability form and birth certificate. In addition, married contestants will need to provide their marriage certificate.

Do I need to schedule new headshots for this pageant?

New headshots are not necessary to compete. We recommend using a photo that is within 2 years old. You may use any headshot you have from any other pageant experience. We do ask that headshots do not contain a sash or crown and is in color.

What is the financial commitment for the state pageant?

All required costs will consist of the state entry fee, $595 and each contestant is required to sell a $150 Ad page for our program magazine. This ad page can be purchased by family, friends, sponsors or businesses you may work with. We do not require contestants to sell tickets, stay at the host hotel or purchase any specific attire for the state pageant.

Do I need experience in pageants to apply? 

No experience is necessary! We have had first time competitors to seasoned competitors win the crown!

What is the interview style like? 

Our interview style at the state pageant is a one on one round robin style. Each contestant will sit with each of the five judges for five minutes each (3 min for preteen contestants). Judges may ask you anything from your submitted paperwork or social media. Political and religious questions are not permitted unless you add it to your paperwork.

How do I get sponsors and sell ad pages?

Once you have registered and paid your deposit you will receive our Marketing & Advertising packet which will help guide you in obtaining sponsors and selling ad pages. We are here to help you along the way!
